We are neighbours, businesses and community organisations working together to make our neighbourhood safer, more welcoming, and better for all who live and work here.
Together for Poble Sec
Poble Sec is a neighbourhood we love. Its mix of cultures, its street life, its community spirit – these are things worth protecting. But in recent months, many of us have noticed a real deterioration in parts of the neighbourhood: violence, open drug dealing, and illegal squatting that is affecting residents, visitors and local businesses alike.
We believe this needs to change – and that change starts with us, working together.
What we are looking for
We are not here to point fingers at vulnerable people. We know that rough sleepers, drug users, and people in difficult circumstances deserve support and dignity – not persecution. Our goal is a neighbourhood where everyone is safer, including them.
What we are calling for is sustained action by the organisations who can help against organised crime, drug trafficking networks, and illegal activity that is making our streets less safe for everyone.
We are also calling on local businesses and organisations, as well as the press and charities, to work with us and use their influence to help us make positive change happen.
