Get involved
Poble Sec is ours to shape
For neighbours
The most important thing you can do right now is make your voice heard through official channels.
Document and report incidents using the Ajuntament’s platform (Barcelona a la Butxaca) or dial 010. Every report logged creates an official record that the city cannot ignore. Be specific: street, time, what happened.
In case of actual emergencies please call 112; they speak Catalan, Spanish and English.
Join our community. We’ll be announcing the first open neighbourhood meeting soon. Follow this site, join our WhatsApp group, and participate in our forum to stay informed.
For businesses
Local businesses are often the first to feel the effects of safety problems — and among the most credible voices when calling for change. We’d love to have you as a partner.
Reach out to us and we’ll explain how businesses can add their name to our coalition, contribute to our documentation, and join us in our conversations with the Ajuntament and police.
For community organisations
We are actively seeking partners from across the community – neighbourhood groups, cultural associations, social centres, mosques, harm-reduction services, and anyone else who shares our commitment to a safer, fairer Poble Sec.
We want to build something genuinely broad and inclusive. If your organisation works with or for people in Poble Sec, we want to hear from you – whatever your perspective.
For the press
If you are a journalist covering Barcelona, Poble Sec, or community safety issues, we are happy to speak with you. We can connect you with neighbours, business owners, and community representatives
